Do's & Don't OR Being Born Again

Scripture

Galatians 6:15
15Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.

John 3:7 "You must be born again"

Observation
Paul has told us about being held to the law, and that being held to the law traps us, and that Christ came to free us from all the do's and don't. There are still acts of righteousness and Godliness that we need to follow, but we are not held down by a "law". So after all is said and done, Paul tells us that it doesn't matter if I am circumcisioned or uncircumcisioned(having to follow a man made law) but what really counts is me being a new creation. This reminded me to what Jesus said, "I must be born again."

Application
Have I been following all the do's and don'ts, or have I been set free by becoming a new creation in Christ; Have I been born again? Christ said no one would enter the kingdom of God without being born again. I will not enter the kingdom of God if I give to the needy, if I buy gas for someone, if I send out get well notes, if I am nice to someone....NO. Those are all by-products of Christ/God regenerating my depraved human heart. I have to surrender my heart/life to Christ and be born again.

Prayer
You have provided the path to your kingdom, and that was the sacrifice of Christ. I thank you that you have given me the faith to believe in you. I ask that you would help me to display to this sinful world, how you love us and want to reveal to us your fullness. Amen
